At Redwood Pet Hospital, we provide you and your pets with prompt, compassionate and comprehensive care.

We offer complete medical and surgical services. Our nursing staff is highly trained and provides excellent technical services in a compassionate manner.

We offer a wide range of diagnostic and monitoring equipment including an in-house laboratory, ECG, digital radiology, blood pressure monitoring, anesthetic machines, pulse oximetry monitors and intravenous fluid pumps. We also work with a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist who reviews our patients x-rays to provide specialized image interpretation.

We are committed to practicing preventative medicine including examinations and vaccinations as appropriate for your pet and his/her lifestyle and life stage. We also provide dentistry, weight management, as well as many other services.

We have a large boarding facility. We have separate dog and cat wards and spacious runs for our larger canine guests. We also have an isolation ward for ill animals.

Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:

• Monday to Friday: 8am - 6pm
• Saturday: 9am - 5pm

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care:

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any emergency your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and two technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be in an appropriate cat carrier.

If you are having difficulty controlling your pet or need assistance of any kind, please let our receptionists or veterinary assistants know.

Payments Options:

Redwood Pet Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Debit Card, Visa, Discover, and Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service, and minimizing costs, we do not bill.

2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Care Credit), checks, and cash.

3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expenses strikes as well.  Redwood Pet Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payments into 3 monthly installments.  You can either apply at our hospital, where we will call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at  www.CareCredit.com.

Second Chance Fund

Emergency Veterinary care can be very costly and unexpected veterinary bills have caused many pet owners, struggling to make ends meet, make painful decisions involving the life of their pets.  Thousands of pets are put to sleep by reluctant pet owners, who are faced with financial challenges that prohibit them from rendering emergency and necessary medical care for  their animals.

There are resources available to pet owners from a handful of nonprofit groups. Some of these are listed below.

Redwood Pet Hospital has established the Second Chnace Fund which is funded by our generous clients and through the sale of hand painted rock art (see examples below) and other grass roots fundraising strategies. Our fund is not large but we have already helped several animals that may not have otherwise received the care they needed. Our grant guidlines are based upon the following criteria:

• Clear financial need
• Urgent medical condition
• No other financial option
• Unable to qualify for Care Credit
• Not to exceed 50% of the total bill
• Not to exceed $200/ client unless approved by hospital owner
