Use this form or email your request to RedwoodPetHospital@sbcglobal.net. Please allow 24 hours for us to refill your prescription. Only medications with prescriptions from a Redwood Pet Hospital Veterinarian can be refilled through email.
With the availability of internet pet pharmacies we occasionally get requests for prescriptions for pet medications. To ensure the health of your pet, accuracy of prescriptions, and to avoid any problems with multiple medications, a veterinarian will review your pet's medical history any time a prescription is requested. If your request is for a product we do not carry nor have an equal substitute, a prescription fee will not be charged. We will have a written prescription available for you to pick up or if a phone number of a preferred pharmacy has been provided, we will call in a prescription for you.
If you are requesting a medication that we carry or offer a comparable alternative, there may be a charge for each prescription that is written, faxed or called into a pharmacy. This prescription fee is a nominal charge to cover the time spent reviewing your pet's medical chart, verifying the request and providing a written, faxed or phone prescription. We encourage you to review the shipping, medication and prescription fee charges and compare these to the cost of purchasing from your veterinarian. Often times product support and guarantees are not equal when purchased from an online pharmacy versus a licensed veterinarian. We understand the convenience of having medications shipped to your door, however we want to make sure that your pet is receiving the proper drug at the correct dose with the support of the manufacturer should a recall or problem arise.
